31 Kind And Caring Sympathy Card Messages For A Friend After A Loss
Share
A sympathy card is a card that no one wants to write. Sending a sympathy card signifies that someone you love is going through a tragically sad and difficult time. But however sad, sympathy cards are some of the most important to send, to ensure no one faces the hard reality of grief and loss alone.
While death may be an inevitable part of life, and grief is something we will all experience at some point in our lives, it doesn’t make it any easier to know what to say when someone you love is grieving.
What is the right thing to say? Is there a wrong thing to say? How can I make things better?
The simple answer is, there is nothing you can say to make it any better. But, you can be there. You can show love, support, and care. You can be there for them no matter what.
Having run my small greeting card business, Jess A Little Creative, for nearly 6 years now, I know that lots of people still find it very hard to know what to write in a card, especially a sympathy card, for fear of getting it wrong or making things worse.
So I have written 31 kind and caring sympathy card messages, specifically for friends who have recently experienced a loss, and are grieving. These messages can be copied word-for-word and written inside a sympathy card, or you can use them as inspiration, to help you find your own words during this sad time.
However you use these sympathy card messages, I hope they help your loved ones feel supported, seen and loved during a truly difficult time.
