Robin Christmas Card design

Many robin Christmas cards feature photographs or detailed, realistic paintings, but this illustrated robin Christmas card is a bit different. The focus of the card is an illustration of a robin, but it is cute, fun and abstract, featuring lots of patterns and geometric shapes to give it a bit of character. It does of course use the traditional colours though - it wouldn’t be right if he didn’t have a lovely bright red breast! The robin is sat on a tree branch covered in red festive berries which span the length of the Christmas card, and in the background of the card there are more branches with berries. The card features the message ‘Christmas Wishes’ in hand-drawn red lettering, and the whole card is made to feel extra festive with white hand drawn dots and circles made to look like snow falling across the design. The background features a very abstract hilly scene, in different shades of cream, and the design is finished off with a few brown leaves falling from the branches to give it a magical Winter’s day feel.

Packaging and materials

Every card comes supplied with a kraft brown recycled envelope, and is packaged in a compostable clear sleeve made from vegetable starch (100% plastic-free). The clear sleeves can be disposed of in your food waste caddy or on your compost heap at home. The card itself is professionally printed on ultra thick, FSC certified, recycled card, with a lovely matte finish. It is smooth and thick and feels luxurious. Its smooth surface makes it perfect for writing those Christmas messages inside!

Orders of 5 robin Christmas cards or less are shipped in board-backed envelopes, secured with paper parcel tape. Orders of 6 robin Christmas cards or more are wrapped in black tissue paper and shipped in cardboard postal boxes, thin enough to fit through your letterbox.

As you can see, all materials are either recycled, recyclable, or plastic-free. And in addition to this, for every order placed on the website, a tree is planted, via the lovely folk over at Ecologi.
